Thank you to Graco for sending us their Pack ‘n’ Play Travel Cot. Simple, foldable, basic yet practical.
***new style now available***
While our little one isn’t here yet, we received this and were very excited to get the box open and see what it was all about. Especially Beard – he likes new things.
Surprisingly the item is very light. We were expecting something a lot weightier and a lot bigger and cumbersome. Contrary to expectations, it’s surprising how it folds down to a relatively small size considering it is a travel cot.
The instructions are easy to follow, and you literally pop this item up and secure it into position in a nanosecond. Precisely what you want when you are travelling.
The “mattress” itself is shockingly rock solid. Personally, I cannot imagine my baby sleeping on that. However, on the other hand, it is functional, but we will need to address that issue when it comes to bedtime as I can’t imagine it is the most comfortable with the limited amount of padding there is. That said, I may be wrong, only our baby can review it honestly!
The size is perfect, and the bright colours are something we would always go for – we are really pleased with this on the first inspection. We just need little man here to put it through its paces.
Austyn is now two years old, and we have used this cot countless times! It’s utterly fabulous as it’s slightly larger than the standard pop-up travel cots we have seen, and this one doubles up as a playpen too.
Many a sound and peaceful night have been spent snoozing in the cot, especially when visiting family and friends, as well as while camping. We’ve tried quite a few travel cots, but this one is solid and sturdy, it doesn’t creak when he’s moving and the padding, despite my earlier reservations, is more than adequate.
The best thing? How easy it is to fold down. We recently stayed in a Travelodge unexpectedly, and my goodness, the travel cot provided was cumbersome and awkward to put together and was the noisiest thing we had ever put Austyn into! Needless to say, we didn’t get much sleep that night, so if you want a high-quality, sturdy travel cot, you should definitely take a look at the Graco range.
