Thank you to Bluewater for inviting us to the Pirates Cove Crazy Golf!
We were lucky enough to enjoy a beautiful summers day spending an hour or so playing crazy golf and the way it has been created is great for kids is incredible. The children loved the entrance, walking through deciding which golf course to take (there’s two to choose from) – it’s been very carefully considered and the course is in excellent, well looked after condition.
The older children in our party enjoyed the signs giving away pirate facts along our journey and the little ones just liked the pirate theme shouting “Arrrggghhhhh me hearties” to anyone in the near vicinity as it made for a really lovely afternoon.
The downside to our crazy golf experience is the price. It is probably one of the most expensive courses we have been on and because there are two to choose from – the Pirate Course and the Smugglers Course – once we finished, the kids then wanted to do the other one.
Not only did we have this to contend with but we also had other activities going on around us; pedalo’s, buccaneer remote control boats/cars and an adventure playground – all of which you add to pay extra for.
Whilst we did have great fun playing golf, I wouldn’t return and this is based solely on the price; it’s really extortionate for a children’s activity and when you take into consideration that you are likely to be there shopping and spending money as well as popping somewhere for lunch, it makes a VERY expensive day out.
You can find out more and book your tickets here and I definitely think you should do it once – it really is fab is you will have a great afternoon but be aware of all the added extra’s your kid is likely to throw themselves on the floor and have a paddy about!!!
