On pancake day, we like to have a three-course pancake meal. Yes, that means pancakes to start, pancakes for main and pancakes for pudding. Don’t knock it until you’ve read the recipes. It’s honestly DELICIOUS!
There are a range of pancakes you can buy and if you plan on doing the 3-course meal, it really does work well with a bit of cheating. Personally, I like to make the batter myself for the blini’s, use chilled savoury ready-made ones for the main course (they work the best) and then either home-made, very thin pancakes, or scotch pancakes for dessert.

Beef & Spinach CannelloniPreheat the oven to 170C/180 degree’s fan/gas mark 5. Heat a little oil in a pan. Chop the onion and cook until tender.
